This poem is about someone obtaining wings. But it's much deeper than that...
There's someone who's very selfish and an Angel decides to save him/her (there's no particular character or gender) the gift of wings. But being the savior comes at a price, the Angel must swap places to help.
So this once selfish person is granted the priceless gift of wings, turning him/her into an Angel... but the former Angel is now in the place of the once selfish.
So the Angel looks down on his/her savior holding the burden of being the cause for someone so thoughtful and good, to now be very self-centered and unkind.
I hope everyone understands that explanation and that this poem is loved
